There are 3 American Civil War reenacting units that sometimes portray late war companies of the 15th Wisconsin -- a group of Norwegians and Danes who reenact in Europe, and the Wisconsin-based 3rd Wisconsin and 33rd Wisconsin (aka "The Badger Boys"). Members of these units worked with the Army of the Pacific (AoP) and the First Federal Division (FFD) reenacting organizations to organize an authentic portrayal of the 15th Wisconsin and Heg's Brigade at the September 17-19, 1999, reenactment of the Battle of Chickamauga, which took place near the original battlefield in northern Georgia.

| 7th Texas/15th Wisconsin | This Scandinavia-based reenacting unit portrays the 15th and the Confederate 7th Texas. Four of its' members came from Norway and Denmark to help portray the 15th at Chickamauga '99. |
| 33rd Wisconsin | This Wisconsin-based reenacting unit helped research and organize the 15th at Chickamauga portrayal. |
| Army of the Pacific | This regional reenacting organization portrayed the 15th as its guiding impression at Chickamauga '99. |
