Below are links to transcriptions of the official U.S. Army after action reports describing the actions of the 15th Wisconsin, Heg's Brigade, and their Division (1st, 20th Army Corps, Army of the Cumberland) during the Chickamauga Campaign, with special emphasis on the September 19-20, 1863, Battle of Chickamauga, Georgia. Also included is the unofficial report of the 15th's commander at the battle, Lieutenant Colonel Ole C. Johnson (Shipness). These materials are made available so reenactors portraying 15th soldiers at the September 17-19, 1999, Chickamauga reenactment, and spectators watching them, can better understand what the original 15th soldiers experienced there.
