This image was taken at the 1880 reunion of the 15th Wisconsin, held at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, some 15 years after the regiment mustered out of service.  Note the Norwegian national flag near the far end of the front rank.  There are close to 100 men in the 2 ranks above, which are 'open' as if for inspection.  This is approximately the number of men who were in each of the regiment's 10 companies when the 15th was first formed. By the end of its' 3 year term of service there were just 320 men still with the Scandinavian Regiment.
